How do I book a move with DTDC Packers and Movers?

Three ways: call or WhatsApp 8796638887, email info@dtdcpackernmover.com, or send the enquiry form on any page of this site. We arrange a survey, send a written quotation, and confirm your moving date once you approve it.

How far in advance should I book?

A week ahead is comfortable and gives you your pick of dates. Month-ends, weekends, and the wedding season fill up first. Short-notice moves are often possible within 2–3 days — ask, and we'll tell you what's genuinely available.

Do you do a survey before quoting?

Yes, always — in person for larger homes and offices, or on a video call for smaller moves. Quotes made without seeing the goods are guesses, and guesses become disputes on moving day. We don't quote blind.

Which areas do you pick up from and deliver to?

Pickup runs across Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and nearby NCR towns. Delivery covers cities and towns across India, and international shifting handles overseas destinations.

What decides the cost of a move?

Four main factors: volume of goods, distance between addresses, access at both ends (floor number, lift, how close the truck can park), and the packing level you choose. The quotation lists each charge separately so you can see what drives your price.

Can the final bill differ from the quotation?

Only if the job changes — extra items added on moving day, or access turning out different from what was surveyed. Any change is discussed and agreed before work continues, never discovered on the invoice.

What payment methods do you accept?

UPI, bank transfer, and cash. Corporate moves can be invoiced with GST for bank-transfer payment. A booking advance confirms your date; the balance is due at delivery.

Do you provide an IBA approved bill?

Yes. As an IBA approved transporter, we issue bills in the format banks and most employers accept for relocation reimbursement claims. Tell us at booking that you need one, and it's prepared with your consignment paperwork.

Should I take transit insurance?

For long-distance and high-value moves, we recommend it — highways carry risks no packing can fully remove. For short local shifts of ordinary goods, many customers reasonably skip it. We present the premium and coverage; the decision stays yours.

What does transit insurance not cover?

Typical exclusions: cartons you packed yourself, cash and jewellery, undeclared items, and damage noted as pre-existing at pickup. We walk through the exact terms before you opt in, so nothing in the policy surprises you later.

What happens if something is damaged in transit?

Note it during the joint delivery inspection, before signing the receipt. We photograph it against the pickup inventory, log the damage, and start the claim with the insurer. Documented claims on insured consignments typically settle within a few weeks.

Packing, Timelines, and Changes

What packing materials do you use?

Double-wall corrugated cartons, bubble wrap, foam sheets, stretch film, corner boards for furniture, and wooden crates for fragile or high-value items like TVs, mirrors, and two-wheelers. Materials are included in the packing charge — we don't sell them separately at markup.

How long will my move take?

Local NCR moves: usually one day. Intercity: typically 2–4 days for metro routes, longer for remote destinations. Vehicle transport and shared-load consignments follow carrier schedules. Whatever the route, your quotation states a committed delivery window.

Can I reschedule my moving date?

Yes — one reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice is free. Inside 48 hours we try to accommodate, but if the crew and truck are already committed, a rebooking charge may apply. We'll always tell you the cost before you decide.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 48 hours before the move for a full refund of your booking advance. Within 48 hours, a deduction covers committed crew and vehicle costs, and the balance is returned. The exact terms appear on your quotation, in writing, before you pay anything.
